Camden is a city and the county seat of Camden County, New Jersey. The city derives its name from Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden and was incorporated on February 13, 1828. Originally the city’s main industry was manufacturing, and in recent years Camden has shifted its focus to education and medicine in an attempt to revitalize itself.
